Woah! After years of neglecting this issue, they finally made it possible to zoom all the way out! Good on ya! Im heavily invested into Pocket Earth Pro though, in terms of saved locations, so probly wont be using this app much - in fact havent used it in years because of the aforementioned issue. But Ive raised my stars from 1 to 4 in honor of their hard work! Old Review: Title: Get "Pocket Earth Pro" instead Review: The developers have known about this issue for years, yet theyre apparently not technically competent enough to fix it. The issue is: it is not possible to zoom out to see a whole country - let alone multiple countries. Not even a tiny country like Costa Rica. The furthest you can zoom out is about a 30-40 mile diameter view of any particular country. So its not possible to see where one country is in relation to another, or even where one city is in relation to another within the same country. Ridiculous. Get "Pocket Earth Pro" instead. Much, much better.

This is a must for traveling when you do not have roaming or any signal. It is a better map than Maps or Google Maps, too. I made great use of City Maps to Go while traveling all over for many years. The new version 10.5 with a global map that allows moving between maps make more sense. And no more downloading overlapping maps. I usually dont like it when my favorite apps change, but this is great!

Older version contains a better index and more detailed maps; also easier to read in rural areas.

I get lost in my own neighborhood but with great success roamed around Europe, Canada and Alaska. I felt very comfortable that I would find my destinations with this app. It was also very helpful in finding great attractions and restaurants. Love this app.

Very usefull app when you are abroad, no need of wifi or data mobile, very precise and helpfull

It is wonderful to be able to use and even search for streets on downloaded maps off-line. It is great that any maps can be added on request as I live in an eastern European country which isnt completely covered by your maps yet. Also, I appreciated the prompt response to a request for a city map… and it was polite, especially since there was already one available in an area/state map, but Id not been able to find it. In some cities (especially foreign ones), major streets are named, but Ive wished there were names for a lot more of the minor streets. Is there a way for users to add such info? Overall, it is a very valuable app. Thanks!!!

This was super useful for my holiday. I definitely recommend it if you travel without an international phone plan.

Works off of wifi and data and makes it easy to save places.

Especially useful in the offline mode.

I fly all over the world and use this app exclusively. Especially great that it doesnt need an internet connection, just GPS. Extensive guides too.

My wife and I have used this app on several International trips. It is fantastic! The best thing is that it works off-line and yet marks your location using the GPS feature of your smart phone. The maps have an extravagant list of restaurants, ATMs, hotels tourist sites, etc. You can create lists of sites that you use or will use, such as subways, hotels, etc. and then see them in relation to each other on your map. The indication of where you are also has a clever little arrowhead that points the way your phone is pointing so that, if you come out of the subway and are disoriented, you can quickly orient yourself and get going. We both think this is an indispensable app.

Great little app. I used it in London, Paris and Rome this past August. Planning another. trip to Toronto at the end of October. Ulmon city maps will get me there and more.

These maps are quite detailed and very useful for of line use, they keep adding details at every update

This was such an amazing help while I was in Stockholm, Sweden. It made navigating a breeze and took the stress out of exploring a new place.

Since the update, you now have to register to have saved locations. Years worth of my saved trails are gone. No notification. Nothing. Everything. Everywhere. Gone. ZERO STARS!

I got this app for our upcoming vacation trip to Spain. It provides maps for all 4 cities that we will be visiting: Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Granada. I can see that this app will be very helpful in navigating around these places. My thanks to the app developers for producing this powerful and easy-to-use tool!

I love that the maps can be used offline and that you can mark favorite places. I also really enjoy the recommendations. Very easy to use.

Im in the midst of an extended international business trip and have used the app in 3 Asian countries so far. Ive avoided losing my way several times while walking in unfamiliar cities and appreciate the search function for restaurants nearby. The best part is that once Ive downloaded a map, I dont need data and it doesnt use a lot of battery like Maps does. Great idea with intuitive implementation.
