The app defaults to wanting to use location service even when not in use. It should be While Using App. It was draining my battery. Even after quitting app (double click and swipe up). Hours went by with device during something was using my location services. Checking device Settings, Privacy, Location Services revealed it was this app. Remember the app was completely shutdown not merely in the background. When I changed setting from Always to When Using the location service indicator shut off. Its disappointing this app defaults to the more aggressive location services setting.

Excellent app!

I use this app extensively overseas and is a great help in remembering places Ive been! If I like a place, I pin it and write myself some notes to have in the future.

With the introduction of GPS mapping not much need for maps nowadays, but I still use these. Good area detail maps.

They decided you needed information about your surroundings instead of just a map to tell you how to get there. It seems to be pushing information every other day where you have to open the map just to clear the notification. I like the older version better and even though I paid for this will more likely delete in favor of another app.

Absolute travel necessity. When I travel abroad the phone immediately goes on "Airplane Mode" and Offline Maps becomes my sole source for navigation. Ive used it on every continent (except Antarctica) and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.

Ive used this app in several countries. At the moment we are using the gps feature walking around Hanoi so we dont get lost. The maps are loaded with names of sites which is quite helpful

You will never get lost if you use this. It is a great app. You can tag locations such as restaurants and come back to them later. We used it all over Italy and didnt need data!

There are lots of maps available for use on a computer, but this the best by far for your phone. The travel suggestions are excellent, and its very easy to use.

I recently moved to a new area and this map really helps me get around very easily particularly downtown.

I travel quite a bit and as long as your device has GPS you dont need an Internet connection to get around.

Good app to have if you travel the world Would be better if you can determine mileage between points before you actual get to that point. The old version was easier to navigate as well, however, this version is still good.

Love this app! No internet and great maps on the go. We travelled Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein. The only difficulty at times was knowing which maps to download. Which they add a big map with the names of the regions so I would know what to download. I ended buying a backup paper map of the whole area.

The best of the best it set.
