Great app

Great app. I use the pro version and its worth every penny. Travelling abroad without a sim card but I can use the maps and know where I am. Priceless.

My Go-To Map App

Excellent and simple to use! Just download the maps of cities you want to travel around - that way you can use it without the need for internet data usage/Wi-Fi. I wish I found this m-app sooner when I travelled abroad. Now, I use it to navigate throughout my own city and would definitely use it if I travel again.

Excellent

I used it now for many trips. Perfect to go around without get lost. Friendly interface.

Usefull everywhere in the world

My reference app for backpack travelling.

Essential

These maps are very helpful when traveling without phone or wifi services. And absolutely essential in China, where it is not possible to store offline google maps. I recommend the program without hesitation.

Best travelling app. Period

This was my only navigation tool throughout my two month vacation in Asia. Travelling thru the many cities, countries and places, this app became a necessity. Its easy to follow and it has great spots to visit while in each city. The maps are well labelled and you can add spotlights(stars that pinpoint that particular spot) to the map to let you know exactly where it is. If you travel anywhere in the world. Add this app into your little "lifesaver" apps. Im thankful I did.

A Great Mapping Ap

I used CityMaps 2 Go on a recent trip to Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria on my iPad mini. It was great and I was able to easily navigate my way through the various city centers as we took in the sights and explored. It was great for travel between cities as well. I highly recommend this ap.

Great app

Love this offline map app. I flip between Google Maps and this one for offline maps but even google doesnt give you local interests and restaurants.

Mr

Excellent app, fantastic value - very useful and comprehensive.

Excellent - some minor issues

I travel around the world and this app is a lifesaver. Street names are missing in some remote places on the works, and sometimes takes some time to figure out correct location.

Still great

I have been using this app for a few years now and it is great. Being without data in an unknown city is hard, but this makes it way easier. I jumped on a city bus in Stockholm and panicked that I was going the wrong way. With this app I could look to see I was going in the right direction as it tracked me via gps. This app has gotten me un-lost in Europe and the States. Great value for money. Used to waste $ on printed maps. Not now.

Fix please!

Love the App! Would like to see the name of surrounding maps of the ones you download so you know which one to download next rather than guess on which one based on the county, etc. have to search internet first to figure out which one to download next. Take the guessing out of it please!! Crashes!!! When I try to open local points of interest the app crashes. Please fix as I love this app!

Amazing app!

No need to download an app per city you visit and pay for it everytime! This app is a deal: valid for any city !! Super accurate gps plus some great features like: saving places on the map, tips from other users and a lot of off line info!!

Good app with some minor annoyances

Ive been using this app for two months now while travelling around SE Asia. Overall its been very useful. It is clearly trying to be a "city" guide, which is fine, but it would be a great help if it could provide some major road coverage at a smaller scale to enable the user to get a sense of where they are when they happen to be between two existing map regions. Currently, if the user is situated between two map areas and they click on the "locate" icon, a message pops up saying you are outside the map area. This effectively prevents you from finding out where you are relative to the loaded map area, which can be very frustrating. The app also prevents you from zooming out beyond a predetermined minimum scale, which prevents you from seeing where you are relative to a chosen location. These are rather trivial problems to fix, so I trust these will be resolved in a future release. The app allows you to mark items in their existing database, and to add pins of your own, enabling the user to group these markers into user-defined lists. Each list can be assigned a specific colour and/or symbol. This sounds great, but in practice its quite limiting. It would be far better to assign colour and symbol as attributes to every individual marker so that the user could create lists based on geographic location and freely assign colours and symbols as they see fit. For example, create a list called Hanoi, which would include hotels, restaurants, and sites in Hanoi, all with different symbology. Currently, all markers in one list have to have the same symbology. Also, there are only 5 symbols available, which is far too limiting. The scale bar is problematic. It shows momentarily while squeezing and pinching, but then disappears. It would be better if this was a user configurable option, to enable constant display. In addition, even though the map changes scale in a continuous manner as you squeeze or pinch, the scale bar does not. Instead, it jumps from one scale to the next in quantized steps. In other words, unless you zoom in or out by a factor of two, the scale bar doesnt change at all, which is rather misleading. Overall, the app works well, but its still in its infancy.

Great app

I love this app. The maps are fantastic and work offline. I would be lost without it.
